TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE (GSID.EU)
Last Updated: July 16, 2026
Welcome to gsid.eu (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform" or "Service"). The Platform is owned and operated as a central routing, verification, and directory gateway for Global System Identifiers (GSIDs).
By accessing, browsing, or using this Platform, or by utilizing the routing services provided herein, you (hereinafter "User", "Visitor", or "Authorized Registrar") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of the Platform.
1. NATURE OF SERVICE & DEFINITIONS
1.1. GSID Definition: A Global System Identifier (GSID) is a standardized, structured alphanumeric protocol formatted strictly as XX00.000.000000, governed by the Platform's specifications and utilized for product, asset, or location identification and global routing.
1.2. The Gateway: gsid.eu acts strictly as an intermediary technical routing engine (similar to a DNS directory redirection service). The Platform does not host, curate, or own the final data records, which reside exclusively within the independent databases of Authorized Registrars.
1.3. Authorized Registrar: Any business entity, platform, or authority officially licensed by the Platform to issue GSIDs under a specific country/registrar code (e.g., GR21) and host the localized landing pages.
2. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
2.1. No Liability for Destination Content: The Platform acts solely as a technical routing redirector. Under no circumstances shall gsid.eu, its operators, employees, or affiliates, be held liable for the content, accuracy, legality, security, availability, or GDPR compliance of the destination websites hosted by Authorized Registrars.
2.2. Service Availability ("As-Is" Clause): The routing services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we employ industry-standard measures to optimize routing uptime and reliability, we do not warrant that the Platform will operate uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We disclaim any liability for temporary network outages, DNS propagation delays, upstream cloud infrastructure failures, or server downtimes.
2.3. Platform Exemption from Consumer Disputes: The Platform has no privity of contract with the end-users or consumers who scan physical or digital GSID codes. Authorized Registrars are legally required to state clearly in their own terms that gsid.eu is an independent technical routing provider. Any claims, liability, or disputes regarding product authenticity, consumer rights, or transactions must be directed exclusively to the respective Authorized Registrar or merchant.
2.4. Abuse Mitigation and Takedown Rights: The Platform reserves the right, upon receiving a verified abuse report or legal notice, to immediately suspend, terminate, or redirect any individual GSID record or routing link that points to illegal content, malicious software, phishing targets, or counterfeit products, without prior notice and without incurring any liability for service disruption.
3. SAAS SUBSCRIPTIONS, QUOTAS, AND LIMIT LIMITATIONS
3.1. Subscription Limits: Authorized Registrars are bound by the volume quotas and limits of their chosen SaaS subscription tier (e.g., Starter, Growth, Enterprise).
3.2. Automated Enforcement: The Platform reserves the right to utilize automated system controls to enforce subscription limits. If an Authorized Registrar exceeds their active GSID allotment, the Platform’s routing engine may automatically restrict traffic, apply rate-limiting, or redirect exceeding IDs to a standardized system notice page until the subscription is upgraded or corrected.
3.3. No Liability for Suspension: The Platform shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of revenue, or reputational harm resulting from the automated suspension of routing services due to quota exhaustion or non-payment of subscription fees by a Registrar.
3.4. No Refunds and Termination Policy: All fees paid for SaaS subscription tiers are non-refundable. Either party may terminate the service agreement at the end of the active billing cycle. Upon termination or expiration of a subscription without renewal, the Platform reserves the right to immediately deactivate routing infrastructure for all GSIDs registered under the corresponding registrar code.
4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
4.1. Proprietary Protocol: The specific architectural design, syntax specifications, proprietary regex validation rules, and routing logic of the GSID protocol framework, along with the underlying source code of the routing engine (including the r.php scripts), constitute the exclusive intellectual property and trade secrets of the Platform’s operators.
4.2. Trademarks & Logos: The term "GSID", "Global Semantic ID", the domain name gsid.eu, and all related logos are protected trademarks. No user, visitor, or third party may use these marks without explicit, prior written authorization.
4.3. Unauthorized Scraping & Reverse Engineering: Any attempt to reverse engineer the routing algorithm, scrape the central registry directory, or execute automated high-frequency lookups designed to stress or bypass the routing gateway is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate IP blocking and legal action.
4.4. Registrar Data License: Authorized Registrars retain all intellectual property rights over the specific data records and content hosted within their independent databases. By utilizing the Platform, Authorized Registrars grant the Platform's operators a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to process, route, and parse the respective identifier strings solely to the extent necessary to provide the redirection and validation services.
5. DATA PRIVACY AND GDPR COMPLIANCE
5.1. Minimal Data Processing: The Platform is built on a privacy-by-design architecture. In accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the routing engine processes transient technical IP addresses strictly for the milliseconds required to execute the HTTP 301/303 redirect. Under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (Legitimate Interest), technical logs containing IP addresses are retained temporarily solely for security audits, infrastructure defense, and DDoS prevention, and are automatically purged or anonymized.
5.2. No Persistent Tracking: No tracking cookies, profiling scripts, web beacons, or telemetry systems are deployed or stored on the routing gateway. The Platform operates as a stateless redirection service, ensuring that no client-side user behavior profiles are generated, maintained, or shared with third parties.
6. INDEMNIFICATION
6.1. Authorized Registrars agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless gsid.eu, its parent companies, directors, and developers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
- The registrar's breach of these Terms.
- Any fraudulent, illegal, or unauthorized GSID registrations generated under their registrar code.
- Any violations of third-party intellectual property or consumer rights occurring on their localized destination endpoints.
7. MODIFICATIONS OF TERMS AND SERVICE
7.1. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time. Registrars will be notified of major structural changes via email or system announcement at least 15 days prior to implementation. Continued use of the routing gateway after such updates constitutes full acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
8.1. These Terms, their interpretation, and any disputes arising from the use of the Platform shall be governed exclusively by the laws of Greece and the European Union.
8.2. Dispute Resolution: Prior to initiating any formal legal action or proceeding arising under or in connection with these Terms, the parties agree to seek an amicable resolution through good-faith negotiations within a period of thirty (30) days from the initial written notice of the dispute. If an amicable settlement cannot be reached, any subsequent legal action shall be brought exclusively before the competent Courts of Larissa, Greece.
